Well Im a similar aged British Indian married to a rough woman!!brbrIf you havent read Life of Pi by Yann Martell, you really really should. Beautiful story, beautifully written, brilliant twist that may not be a twist, and another one that may or may not be in the foreword too!brbrI would also strongly recommend getting into Haruki Murakami. Brilliant Japanese author thats recently been translated into English. His novels have a bit of everything, plot, timetravel, supernatural, surrealism, insight, talking animals, brilliant characters, yet its all down to earth and believable and his writing style doesnt patronise in the slightest.brbrStart off with The Elephant Vanishes, a collection of short stories to get you in the flow.brbrAnd lastly, for nonfiction, try Supernatural by Graham Hancock... Youll never look at faeries or aliens the same again...!
